Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7

In the autumn of 1989, I began to receive a series of profound and disturbing revelations from Almighty God concerning the perilous state of Great Britain. The revelations were received over a three-year period, during which time He laid on my heart that I was an 'Eleventh Hour voice', and that He was making me a watchman over the nation (cf Ezek. 3:17-19).

In His wisdom, the Lord showed me that Great Britain was, at the time, being shaken by a wave of disasters and calamities in an attempt to arrest our sinful slide away from Him and His revealed word, the Holy Bible (cf Hag. 2:6, 7). I was shown that if the nation paid heed to the warnings and turned to God in repentance, there would be a time of great healing and restoration. If, on the other hand, we ignored the warning signs and continued to reject God and our wonderful Christian heritage, a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions ultimately would strike the nation.

Such sentiments weren't exactly widespread in the late eighties and early nineties, but I was by no means the only person to hear such things from the Lord. Similar warnings had been received by many individuals who practised the gifts of the Holy Spirit (or charismata) - diverse gifts such as healing, prophecy, discernment of spirits and deliverance (cf 1 Cor. 12:4-11; Mark 16:17, 18).

With an outpouring of the Holy Spirit probably not witnessed since Pentecost (cf Joel 2:28-32), it was a challenging time - a time to speak out boldly and decisively. A time for the prophetic wing of the Body of Christ to address the nation with one voice and deliver, through a spirit of love, a clear and yet firm warning to Great Britain as a whole, declaring what was to come if we continued unchecked on the same dire course.

Not having a public platform of my own, I wrote to two prominent and respected church leaders - both of whom had high-profile ministries and access to the media - calling on them to issue a prophetic proclamation to the nation (see Appendices I & II).

They both agreed in principle that such a statement was necessary, but sadly - tragically, even - neither pursued the idea.

Perhaps I should have done more myself, but I felt my hand restrained as I had been warned by the Lord not to reveal publicly what He had shown me at that particular juncture (cf Rev. 10:4 & Hab. 2:2-3).

Books on contemporary prophecy were published, glossy magazines circulated, audio tapes distributed and endless seminars held, but no prophetic proclamation was delivered to the people of Great Britain. The good Lord's voice was raised in righteous fury and all the general public heard was a deafening silence, occasionally punctuated by vacuous, ineffective and sometimes blasphemous utterances from the Anglican Church.

Our fate was sealed.

To our everlasting shame, the prophetic voice of the Body of Christ failed Almighty God at a critical hour. That hour has long since passed. All that awaits us now is a fearful judgement on a nation that has forsaken the God of their fathers and become blind to the truth and teachings of the Bible.

Is there any hope?

For the nation, no - the damage is irreparable (If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? Ps. 11:3).

For the individual, yes - where there is Christ, there is always hope (Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live... John 11:25).

Please read on...

You may be wondering just who I am and by whose authority I am saying these things?

In answer to the second part of the question: by the supreme authority of the triune God Who has manifested Himself through His inspired and inerrant word, the Holy Bible; through the sacrificial ministry of His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ; and through the manifold power and operation of the Holy Spirit. In short, the one true living God.

But do I ask you to take this on trust? Certainly not! I urge anyone who has a saving relationship with Christ to take this prophecy before the Lord in order to test its validity, for to do so is perfectly scriptual (Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1).

As for who I am, this is not important; it's the message which is of paramount importance, and God forbid that I should detract from that.

The aim of this document is not simply to warn of what is to come, it is to endeavour to explain the spiritual dynamics of the situation and how it has evolved. Anyone can stand up and 'prophesy' doom and gloom, but there are very sound and very specific reasons why Great Britain is rushing headlong toward certain disaster. These reasons involve the crucial position the established church, the Church of England, once played, and how utterly vital it was to the spiritual and therefore physical defence of the realm. (The use of the past tense is quite deliberate.)

To fully grasp this fact, the reader must understand that we are at war!

Not a conventional conflict, of course, fought with physical weapons, but the bitter struggle which exists between God and the Devil - the age-old battle between darkness and light, good and evil (cf Eph. 6:12). And you and I are combatants whether we like it or not.

Needless to say, many people - even within the Church - refuse to believe that our adversary the Devil really exists, but Scripture is unequivocal: And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Rev. 12:9. (See also Job 1:6-12 & Mat. 4:1-11.)

This passage also serves as a reminder that Satan commands a vast army of demonic spirits of varying power and authority (fallen angels). My own experiences in the ministry of exorcism have demonstrated to me that demons are very real and active in today's world, but let's turn once again to God's word: And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. Luke 8:30, 31. (See additionally Luke 4:33-36 & Acts 16:16-18.)

So, if we simply accept either of these passages as being the plain truth, we are forced to accept the reality of the Devil and his demonic hordes, and thus the unseen spiritual war that rages all around us. And not one of us is exempt from service, for we all come under [external] attack from time to time, even if it is simply a powerful form of temptation, or mental vexation.

Accepting therefore that we, as individuals, are prey to enemy assault, it makes perfect sense that the Church - the very epicentre of the Reformed Protestant Faith - should be a prime target.

And so it was... Satan, the great deceiver, attacked on six fronts:

Many believers will recognise that the true purpose of this six-pronged enemy onslaught was to corrupt, distort, undermine or to deny outright many of the basic tenets and fundamental truths of God's word, the Holy Bible. And it seems that instead of defending the integrity of the Scriptures and the essential truths that they represent, the Church of England embraced these insidious movements to the extent that the Church became not only apostate but utterly abhorrent in God's sight.

But why should this affect the nation as a whole?

The Lord showed me that, due to the fact that Church and State were linked on a constitutional level, the Lord blessed and protected the nation through the Church. The Church was, to put it simply, our shield of protection.

This fact is absolutely crucial in understanding the situation overall.

When the Church turned further and further from the truth of the Bible and became more and more embroiled in the unholy movements mentioned above, the Lord could no longer continue to bless and protect Great Britain without impugning His holy nature. Thus, when He could bear the Church's apostasy no longer, He removed His protecting angel or 'star' from the Church (cf Rev. 1:20), which meant that it - and consequently the nation - were wide open to further assault.

The subsequent schism over the issue of women priests in the early nineties foreshadowed the point in the future when the Lord would actually rent the Church in His anger, for I was shown that ultimately part would join the Roman Catholic Church, and the remainder would go down the Multi-faith road, with the Crown urging an 'all paths lead to God' doctrine.

Naturally, when I say 'remainder', I accept there would be a number of disaffected clergy who wouldn't take this route, and who would prefer to join other unions, such as the Orthodox Church or the Baptists.

[Re: Ecumenism - see notes following Appendix V.]

So, what will be the end result of all this - the cost?

The Lord showed me that crime would soar - particularly violent crime; there would be massive civil unrest and widespread social disorder. Eventually, the Monarchy will be dissolved in a humiliating fashion, Great Britain will lose her freedom and the nation will be ruled over by evil men.

I believe that at this time, Evangelical Christians will come under terrible persecution (in other parts of the world, too), possibly even being driven out of their homeland(s) to journey to their spiritual homeland, Israel.

I wasn't shown specifically who would rule over us, other than it would be a thoroughly oppressive regime. Nevertheless, returning recently to the extensive notes I made at the time, I seemed convinced that it would be as a result of European unification. Make of this what you will.

The Bible makes the following very pertinent statement or promise: Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you... Jas. 4:8.

As we know, drawing truly close to the Lord involves a great deal of prayer, fasting and Bible study; but it also requires being open to the Holy Spirit and accepting what He reveals to you, even if it is the total opposite of your own views and beliefs.

Being shown that there was serious sin and corruption at the very heart of the establishment, emanating outwards like ripples on a murky pond, was quite a shock to me, for I idealised - possibly even idolised - the nation at the time. So, too, was the revelation that the Lord would eventually give the Anglican Church over totally to Satan. But I cannot ignore the revelations or pretend that I didn't receive them, no matter how dark and unpalatable they are.

The grim spectre of guards outside Christian places of worship, protecting those within from those without, is one that haunts me still.

On the 11th November, 1992, the Church of England's ruling body, the General Synod, succumbed to the powerful antichrist spirit of Jezebel and passed a motion allowing the ordination of women into the priesthood (by a mere two votes, it must be said).

Nine days later, a fierce blaze ripped through the Queen's weekend residence, Windsor Castle, destroying or damaging approximately 100 rooms, along with many priceless works of art.

Given that two of Her Majesty's weighty and impressive-sounding titles are Supreme Governor of the Church of England and Defender of the Faith, it's perhaps no surprise that the fire started in the Queen's private chapel, signifying in no uncertain terms that judgement begins at the house of God. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 1 Pet. 4:17.

In effect, the Anglican Church was weighed in the balance and woefully was found wanting. The Lord of hosts had no recourse but to remove His protecting hand of grace from the Church and consequently the nation, allowing - to put it crudely but not entirely inaccurately - all hell to break loose.

Take a long hard look at Great Britain today. Can any believer seriously deny that we have forfeited God's favour?

The abysmal situation can be encapsulated in the words: 'The Church and nation are undergoing divine judgement.' It's as simple and as complicated as that.

The Lord knows, I am no fundamentalist or zealot; I am merely shouting from the rooftops what has been whispered in my ear (cf Luke 12:3). I pray the Lord will have mercy on us and limit the judgement that is to come; and I ask that you do the same.

As I write these words, it's the 70th Anniversary of the August day in 1940 when the Battle of Britain reached its height and the RAF prevailed against overwhelming odds - our "finest hour", as Winston Churchill famously put it.

Seven decades on from that fateful day, I have the unenviable task of proclaiming - with indescribable sadness of heart and tears in my eyes - that the spiritual Battle of Britain has finally been lost. At one time the nation could have been turned around. Not any longer. We are now in the Eleventh Hour before the Return of Christ, and we are poised to enter a spiritual and moral abyss the likes of which we have not seen since the Dark Ages. (See Mat. 24:3-44; 2 Tim. 3:1-4 & Rev. 3:10.)

The legalising - and therefore 'legitimising' - of vile practices outlawed by our Sovereign God in holy Scripture, compounded by the unbelief and unfaithfulness of the Church of England, have brought our defences tumbling down, and the [spiritual] enemy has rushed in like a flood. (See Is. 59:18, 19.) Satan's grip on us will eventually become a stranglehold.

Whereas, I believe we all share collective responsibility for the sins of Church and Parliament, nevertheless, there are those who occupy - or have occupied - positions of authority in these two institutions who will be called to greater account, for no power has forced us to rebel against God's will, blaspheme His statutes and trample underfoot His holy commandments. This we have done of our own free will and accord.

We have taken our great and glorious inheritance - a free and democratic realm founded upon biblical beliefs and principles, handed down to us through the selfless service and sacrifice of countless courageous men and women in numerous wars and conflicts - and treated it with utter disdain and contempt. In fact, we have squandered it just as Esau squandered his precious birthright.

And now we must pay the price.

To our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, be the power, the glory and the dominion, both now and forever. So be it.

The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy? Amos 3:8

The following is a letter which I wrote under my birth name, Mitchell Henderson, to a member of the General Synod (the State Church's parliament) on 24th July, 1992, calling for a prophetic declaration ('proclamation' is perhaps a better word) to be set before the nation:

Dear Reverend [name deleted],

I am writing to you in response to what I feel sure is a prompting by the Lord.

Like you, I am alarmed and dismayed at the way in which the nation's defences have crumbled, and how the church seems to be embracing Satan's temptations with open arms, instead of steadfastly resisting them. And whereas the eventual outcome of this tragic affair is plain to a discerning number within the church, what I feel is needed at this juncture is for that outcome to be broadcast for all to hear - i.e.: for the prophetic voice of the church to speak with one accord.

Put simply, I am suggesting that a 'prophetic declaration' be drawn up, in a similar way to the Open Letter, and forwarded to the Queen, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Prime Minister, and both church and secular press. Such a declaration would express in clear and concise terms God's anger at our present situation, and the catastrophe that awaits us as a nation who continues to rail against Almighty God's will - yet it should also stress the promise of His blessings should the nation respond to His judgements and turn around.

I have enclosed a rough draft to give you an idea of the type of thing I have in mind. It is based on revelations which the Lord has been sharing with me since shortly after I came to a saving faith in Christ nearly six years ago.

Being a 33-year-old lay Christian with no standing in the church or public life, I am not in a position to effectively convey the substance of these dire warnings. However, if like-minded Christians within the church were to speak out as one voice, it would provide the Holy Spirit with the opportunity to convict hearts and minds accordingly. In so doing, the people of this nation would be warned of the gravity of the situation, and provided with the chance to repent (possibly our last chance!) Also, in sounding the warning trumpet, it would help 'remove the blood from our head', so to speak.

When I sought the Lord's guidance as to whether it was genuinely His will that I should put this idea to you, He led me to Jeremiah 5:20-31, which I took to be strong confirmation.

I would certainly appreciate it, Reverend [name deleted], if - when you have time and it's convenient - you would take this before the Lord in prayer and ascertain whether it's His will that you should pursue the matter further.

May our gracious God continue to uphold you and your wife in your important work.

I have reproduced below the rough draft of the 'declaration' which I sent with the above letter:

We, the undersigned, sharing a deep concern over the direction of State and Church, and mutually exercising a prophetic ministry, give formal warning to Her Majesty the Queen, Her Parliament, the Church and nation, of God's anger and His impending judgement should the nation continue her sinful slide away from Him and His revealed word, the Holy Bible.

In short, we believe:

The sin of the Established Church (Interfaith services; Liberal Theology; New Age teaching; homosexuality among clergy, etc) is placing both Church and nation increasingly outside God's protective care. (God, who is all holy, cannot continue to bless and protect a priesthood and people who persist in flaunting His laws and statutes.)

Almighty God is shaking the nation in judgement in an effort to call us back to Him. These judgements are manifest in nature as well as the social fabric of the country such as the economy and affairs of state.

If we fail to heed these warnings, they will increase in severity and frequency.

Ultimately, the Church will be rent in God's anger and, consequently, the nation will be stripped of her sovereignty and given over to her 'enemies'.

We wish to stress, however, that in His unfailing love and mercy, God is promising blessings and healings should we choose to mend our ways and return to Him.

The most effective way this can be achieved, we feel, is for the Church to purge itself thoroughly of its iniquity. (In trying to be all things to all people, it ceased long ago to be holy unto God.) The Church must then call the nation to repentance which, ideally, would be marked by a national day of prayer and fasting.

We are confident that if enough people respond in Jesus' name, God who is faithful will deliver Great Britain from her - at present - perilous path.

In the early hours of 9th July, 1984, a severe fire gripped the historic York Minster, threatening the wonderful Gothic cathedral with total destruction. The blaze, which was believed to have been caused by a massive bolt of lightning, was centered around the 13th Century South Transept and took over 150 fire-fighters to bring under control.

This wouldn't be particularly significant in itself were it not for three glaring factors:

One, the lightning bolt apparently emanated from a tiny cloud in an otherwise clear night sky...

Two, for some reason, the building's lightning conductors and smoke alarms failed to work...

Three, it occurred barely 36 hours after the, then, Archbishop of York presided over a service at the cathedral, consecrating an outspokenly liberal cleric as Bishop of Durham, one of the most important positions in the Church of England.

Bestowing such a prestigious bishopric upon a man who had openly poured scorn on the Virgin Birth, thereby questioning the divinity of Christ, was tantamount to the Anglican hierarchy spitting in the face of the Messiah.

So, was the inferno a sign of God's holy anger at the direction the State Church was taking, or was it simply a bizarre coincidence?

Be not deceived; God is not mocked... Gal. 6:7

[A further point is made in the notes after Appendix V.]

The following is one of the prophecies I received concerning Britain's destiny. As in the Book of Jeremiah, it's clear that the Almighty is revealing the judgemental aspect of His nature in the body of the text; and I think it's fair to say there is a degree of apocalyptic language in the wording, meaning perhaps that not every line should be taken in the literal sense:

I Am God immortal, invisible Creator of heaven and earth, precursor of doom, Saviour of mankind.

Return to Me, O Great Britain, with tears of repentance and I will heal you; I will restore your fortunes. Your grain will become abundant. Your crops will prosper. Your harvest will be plentiful. Your homes will be secure.

Your joy is incomplete! I will make it complete.

Fill up your cup and from it take a long drink, for you are about to go thirsty; you are about to go hungry; you are about to go naked. Your bed will comfort you not, nor the fruit of your loins, for your children will turn haters of good, practitioners of evil. Their end shall be what they deserve.

I Am King! I Am Lord of Zion! Return to Me while there is time. Your security is like chaff in the wind: one blow and it is gone.

Return to your Sovereign God and I will comfort you for the rest of your days. Disobey at your peril.

I Am the living God. In Me there is salvation - hope. Turn to My Son and live. Amen.

Received on 7th November, 1991.

[Scriptures received along with the prophecy: Ezek. 19 & Is. 20.]

There may be some people who read these words who don't have the assurance of eternal salvation. If they feel compelled, I would urge them to make the following petition:

"Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God, and that You paid for my sins in full on the Cross. Lord, I am sorry for my many transgressions and accept the forgiveness that You are commanding me to receieve. I ask that You send Your Holy Spirit to infill me and to guide me along the path which lies ahead. Amen."

1) SPIRITUAL WARFARE: Some readers may find the inclusion of Ecumenism in this section somewhat surprising. Whilst I'm sure there are many well-intentioned people working in this arena, it must be understood that the true - and undoubtedly sinister - purpose of this movement is to unite the various and varied Christian denominations so that [apostate] Christianity can be more easily assimilated into the soon-to-emerge one-world faith, which the Bible warns us will be controlled by the Antichrist (2 Thes. 2:3-4). It must also be remembered that Ecumenism led to Interfaith Dialogue which, in turn, led to Interfaith Worship, surely the greatest act of blasphemy and betrayal to which Anglican officials have stooped so far (cf: Gen. 20:3-5 & Jer. 7:30b). The fact that our monarch has actively promoted and taken part in such services, in direct contradiction to - and in grave dereliction of - her Coronation Oath, makes the matter even more heinous.

2) JUDGEMENT: It's a matter of fact that this prophetic statement went 'live' in October, 2010, approximately ten months prior to the riots of August, 2011. Nevertheless, I believe that those unprecedented disturbances were simply a foretaste of the anarchy that is to come. (Please see Is. 5:4-7, which the Lord has indicated speaks also about our present situation.)

3) APPENDIX III - THE YORK MINSTER SIGN: It's worth mentioning here that the lightning strike on the cathedral occurred within a few hours of an episode of religious affairs programme Credo being broadcast on TV, which revealed the shocking and pitiful news that a large number of Church of England Bishops couldn't endorse the Nicene Creed.

NB: The use of the term 'eleventh hour' in this document is in the commonly accepted sense of the phrase; it is completely unconnected with Jesus' parable of the workers in the vineyard (Mat. 20:1-16), as has been falsely and foolishly claimed on the internet.

Little children, it is the last time [hour]: and as ye have heard that [the] antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time [hour]. 1 John 2:18
